To make an appointment please ring me on 01884 839377 or send an email using the Contact Me page. If you ring and I am not available
you can leave a message and I will ring you back as soon as I possibly can. The answer machine is not available to anyone else so your message is confidential. Alternatively, if you send
an email and I will reply, usually, within 24 hours. On an email you can ask questions that might be helpful to you making a decision about counselling.
The person wanting to come for counselling must ring to make the appointment, unless it is a child.
I can usually make an appointment for the first visit fairly quickly, often within a few days.
A large part of successful counselling work is to do with the relationship formed between the client and the counsellor. With that in mind, I think it is important that we meet initially to consider what is required and where we go from there.
You will be under no obligation at all from that first meeting and can go away to think things through, even check out other counsellors. It is an important decision and should not be taken lightly. I hope I can help you make your decision.
With that in mind, I suggest you come for a 15-20 minute meeting. If you feel comfortable within that time, we can extend the meeting into a first session. Otherwise, you are free to go away and things things through with no strings attached.
Telephone Counselling: For some, face-to-face counselling is not comfortable, not possible due to life or work situations, or not possible due to geographical locations. Once we have established the contract within which we will work, you simply need to ring me at the alloted time and the session will begin. A telephone session will be the same 50-minute duration as face-to-face. For more specific questions please email me and I will endeavour to reply within 24 hours.
